Any program to fix the world that leaves us out will be incomplete. But our lists for what need to be fixed in the world rarely contain “ourselves”. In a perfect world, we would be out of place. A “perfect world” for us would have to be broken in the same way we are. When we cry for someone to come make everything right do we dare hand them permission to do that work that needs to be done in us?
