Lev. 23:15-21
Takes place on the day the Law was brought down from Mt. SinaiCommemorates the giving of God’s LawChrist sends His Spirit to write His Law on the hearts of His People (Jer 31:33-34, 2Cor  3:3-11)  
Occurs during the barley harvestThe Scroll of Ruth is read in the TempleReveals the way that Gentiles are incorporated into the Covenant of the God of Israel (Acts 2:38-39)  
The two loaves are offered before the LordTradition teaches these represent the two tablets of the Laws and 2 groups of people- Jews and gentiles make Holy unto the LordThe Church is born, a new community of Jews and Gentiles made holy through Jesus to bring the Good News to the nations of the world (Acts 1:8)  
Celebrated God’s bounty in the coming harvestThe new grain was to be presented in the TempleA harvest of 3,000 people believed on Jesus in one day (Acts 2:41-21)
And Peter said to them, “Repent and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord shall call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39
